Taking my lead from Paul Robinson’s recent ‘pick of the week’ that was neither a blog or a website, this week’s online chosen one is a Flickr picture group.
The recently launched Capturing the Quays has already attracted scores of stunning pictures – those on this page are just a few.
The idea of the group, being hosted in conjunction with the MEN and The Quays, is to find the images which best captures the historic waterfront.
The winners – chosen in conjunction with Manchester Evening News’s picture desk – will be given an ‘all expenses paid for’ weekend at The Quays and the opportunity for their image to be used to promote The Quays around the world.
MEN Online will be keeping readers up to date by publishing the best of the images submitted by its readers over the next few months leading up to a final twelve images that will be used in a forthcoming calendar to celebrate this historic area.

Myself and Paul will be hunting around for blogs or websites (or groups or newsletters!) to feature here, add to our blogroll and include in the e-view page of the M.E.N on Saturday so, if you’ve got one to nominate, contact us. The only criteria is that they have some connection with Manchester.
