The M.E.N is today giving a tour of its newsroom to some of the people responsible for shaping the future of journalism – delegates from the Journalism Skills Conference taking place in Salford Quays tomorrow.
The event, organised by the National Council for the Training of Journalists will be discussing the results of a major piece of research on convergent journalism skills, in which more than 250 editors and journalism trainers took part.
During the tour of the M.E.N, delegates will be looking at the news “hub” in operation, where the print version of the paper is produced alongside, www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk and Channel M television.
It seemed like an opportunity to share the experience with a wider audience so I will be blogging the tour here later this afternoon so that you can also see something of the inner workings of a newsroom.
