THE M.E.N was host to some of journalism’s top educators today. Delegates from the Journalism Skills Conference taking place in Salford Quays tomorrow came for a tour of the newsroom and heard editor Paul Horrocks describe the thinking behind the cuurent set up.
After an initial experiment with one large hub, the newsroom is now broken down into smaller hubs where news, features, sport and business gather togather and operate across print, online and TV.
Mr Horrocks described how journalists are being encouraged to work across different mediums and not to think of themselves as attached to a particular product but instead work across platforms.
