What happened at February’s #smc_mcr

Here’s some of the blog posts and other content already in from last night’s Social Media Café event in Manchester.
Alan Holding has been quick off the mark with a series of images on Flickr but no where near as prompt as Ella at RunPaintRun Run who enjoyed Adrian Slatcher’s talk about literature in the digital world so much so that she posted while the event was still on.
She said: “As a pure bread geek, it was refreshing to mingle in the comic vision of Douglas Adams. Once the idea that the Hitchhikers Guide prefiguring Wikipedia was mooted, like all the best observations, seemed stunningly obvious. Sadly, I couldn’t show off my geek cred and get a Neal Stephenson discussion in there.”
Adrian also posted the reading list from his talk for anyone wanting to delve a little deeper.
I’ve reflected on Dave Mee’s community presentation in an earlier post on this blog and you can see the full slideshow here.

I expect to receive slides and details on Josh’s presentation on webcasting later.
You can also catch up with some Qik video clips from Martin SFP and myself below.
There’s sure to be more – I will update. Please feel free to drop me a link via the comments below or on Twitter @Sarah_Hartley if you have posted anywhere.
