This week’s pick of the posts is one of those blogs which takes a simple idea and sticks with it.
Oldham 100 is the creation of an anonymous local bus driver who simply takes pictures, or videos, of a moment in his day.
He explains: “I am a bus driver for Stagecoach in Manchester. Now and again I get bored and take a random picture – feel free to comment on what you see.
“I am not a bus spotter but I just like to take an interest in what I see around me and my chosen career. There are some interesting things going on around us out there lol.”
This month marks the blog’s one year anniversary and our driver has so far chronicled everything from stunning landscapes to the rubbish left behind on the bus to shaming some inconsiderate driving from other users.
As well as being written with the authentic voice which makes blogs of this type so engaging, Oldham 100 also manages to chronicles modern life though the lens of one of our collective experiences – the public transport system of Greater Manchester.

We will be hunting around for blogs or websites to feature here, in the e-view page of Saturday’s MEN and add to the blogroll so, if you’ve got one to nominate, submit a link to the blog address below. The only criteria is that they have some connection with Manchester.
