Can you help me map the charities carrying out humanitarian work in Syria?
I’ve started plotting those I’ve noticed making the news but there’s sure to be many more operating out there.
Each of the points on the map has details about what the particular charity does, where it’s based and a link direct to the page where people can make a donation. To see the full details for each charity, click the ‘read more link’ on the pin.
I’ve crosschecked each entry as a bonafide registered UK charity using the OpenCharities website for England and the OSCR for Scotland.
A lot of the bigger charities operating in Syria have their head offices in London but I hope the map could build to help give some of the less well-known charities greater visibility so that those people who’d rather donate to an organisation from their local region can easily locate one.
This map can also be used to flag up fundraising activity, talks, protests etc.and they can be posted as ‘events’.
Please contact me via the comments or email SarahATn0tice.com with further details or add your own information using the instructions below.
