The four finalists in the Mapping Creativity project have been announced today.
And with this post I have to point out that one of the four (Julian Hartley) is my husband and so in the interests of unbiased blogging, I shall no longer be reporting on the competition.
As a professional journalist I am perfectly able to remain objective despite this close involvement, however I felt that it wasn’t fair on Mr H to leave him open to the potential accusation.
There’s now a lot of work to be done in time for the final presentation when these four battle it out for the £25K commission and no doubt plenty of news to come out around the whole process which is such an important event for the digital community.
So – this blog will be updated but by one of my co-bloggers, Paul Robinson who will do the honours – and you can sure that he will bring a completely fair and balanced approach to the proceedings. (He’s got a very independent mind you know!)
The finalists are;
Community as Curator by Julian Hartley, The Great Manchester Cultural Cookoff by Frankie Roberto, Rattle Research, Arc Space Manchester by Arc Space and http://delicious.com/tag/manchester+beacon by Alex Hough will each receive 1k to develop their ideas further before pitching for the final 25k commission.
Good luck ALL!
Thanks, should be fun!
