Tomorrow’s Social Media Café promises a true lucky dip from a party size selection box of speakers who couldn’t be tackling more different subjects.
The monthly get together of web gurus, digital experts, bloggers, business types and all-round geek enthusiasts will once again be an unconference format.
But, in a change from last month’s format there will be just three sessions to choose from to allow for a more unhurried atmosphere. They are;
1. Co-blogger here and digital arts expert for Manchester Digital Development Agency (MDDA) Adrian Slatcher is promising a look at how experimental and innovative literature offers lessons and pointers to the social media future with his session. From yahoos to Yahoo – from Ulysses to UGC.
2. Josh (Rajesh Joshi) offers some help with Webcasting on a shoestring: opening your event to all and initiating debate which I’m hoping will draw on some of his recent experiences of such events in the public sector.
3. Finally what promises to be a fascinating look at Invisible Communities: A free-form discussion of how electronic media are reforming what community means in the 21st century is offered by Dave Mee who designs interactive experiences.
If you can make it from 6pm tomorrow, then there’s still time to sign up at the official wiki.
I shall post updates from the evening at this blog and via Twitter @Sarah_Hartley.
There will also be a live feed created by participants tagged #smc_mcr which you can follow here or via the yahoopipe pasted below.
