#MancTwester What price a journalist?

MancTwestival.jpg
Not long now until the city’s first Twestival gets underway – and you can keep up with all of the action right here.
The Manchester event is just one of 160 global happenings brought about thanks to the collaborative power of the micro-blogging platform Twitter and is intended to raise awareness about – and cash – for charity:water.
(Read more about the background here)
The focus of the evening is a charity auction which has received donations from city businesses including the Manchester Evening News which is offering someone the opportunity to be a journalist for the day.

Time with Channel M television, hot footing it to a live news event or taking that picture which says a thousand words – never mind the chance to do some live blogging with yours truly. Come on! How much is that worth? Priceless!

I shall be updating this blog later tonight and providing live coverage with video, audio, pictures and tweets @Sarah_Hartley.
But of course I won’t be the only one – catch up with the Manchester event using #manctwester or see what’s happening worldwide at #twestival

Will the prize involve getting shouted at by a tyrannical news editor and being forced to drink yards of real ale at 11am? Or is that all very last century journalism?

About the same – but without the assistance of the alcohol! Why you fancy it?
