Manchester Twestival the final tally

The city’s first Twestival raised £3,979.44 it has been calculated.
Organisers made the final count of cash raised from donations, the charity auction and ticket sales over the weekend.
All the money goes to Charity Water.
And Katie Moffat said the event was so successful – they might well do it all over again.
She said: “Manchester Twestival was a great success, we had fantastic support from the city’s digital community who came out in force to help us raise money for charity water. Our total of nearly £4000 will make a huge difference to the lives of those without access to clean drinking water. Globally Twestival has been a ground breaking initiative and I’m sure it will return again next year – watch this space.”
